A Bit About Me

I’m Derya — a Senior Art Director, dreamer, and mostly a laugher, based in Düsseldorf. I’m currently bringing ideas to life at HeimatTBWA.

I studied Graphic Design & Fine Arts at Yeditepe University and graduated top of my class with honors in 2018. Since then, I’ve been working in advertising across Turkey and Germany, contributing to brands such as EA Sports, Elidor, KFC, Lipton, Volkswagen, Algida, Türk Telekom, Turkcell, got2b, Perwoll and many more.

My work has been recognized by Future Lions, Epica Awards, Felis Awards, Crystal Apple Awards, Poster Monday, and Kırmızı Awards.

  • When I’m not at my desk, I’m either traveling, hosting guests at my tiny house (@deryagildeyiz) or dreaming about the future hehe

    I’m obsessed with music, swimming, eating — basically anything that makes me feel alive!

  • Let’s be real: I don’t handle stress like a Zen master. Instead, I laugh. A lot. In 2016, I even took this "talent" to the national stage on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” I walked away with a nice prize, but I’m mostly remembered as “the girl who laughed a lot on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?*”
