A Bit About Me

I'm Derya — Senior Art Director, dreamer, and mostly a laugher, based in Düsseldorf and often in Miami.

I studied Graphic Design & Fine Arts at Yeditepe University, graduating top of my class with honors in 2018. Since then, I've been working in advertising across Turkey and Germany, contributing to brands like EA Sports, Elidor, KFC, Lipton, Volkswagen, got2b and Perwoll.

My work has been recognised at One Show, BEA World Awards, Future Lions, Epica, Felis, Crystal Apple and Kırmızı Awards.

I believe creativity is most powerful when it means something.

  • When I’m not at my desk, I’m either traveling, hosting guests at my tiny house (@deryagildeyiz) or dreaming about the future hehe

    I’m obsessed with music, swimming, eating — basically anything that makes me feel alive!

  • Let’s be real: I don’t handle stress like a Zen master. Instead, I laugh. A lot. In 2016, I even took this "talent" to the national stage on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” I walked away with a nice prize, but I’m mostly remembered as “the girl who laughed a lot on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?*”
